That brings us to the next chapter in the story. Our second daughter arrived 4 years after the first. MaKayla Raye was born on March 1^st, almost a leap year baby but not quite. No, it’s not a misprint. Her name does have two capital letters (in honor of Heather’s mom who also has two capital letters in her name). Her middle name is a combination of our middle names, Ryan and Gaye.

Kayla’s voice can be heard on our very first recording singing at the tender age of 5 years old. We might be a little prejudice, but we think it’s the sweetest thing you’d ever want to hear! We are often told that she has the best voice of any of “The Stutzman Family” members. Many folks want to know, “What parts do you each sing?” Well, Kayla would be a good one to answer that. She’d probably tell you, “Whichever part is left over! You might be singing soprano on one song, tenor on the next.” We are really proud of the way Kayla is able to fill in wherever she’s needed.

When she’s not singing, MaKayla’s favorite thing to do is read. She is also a great violin player, likes volleyball and, to her dad’s dismay, she also likes boys!
